Spirit of Adventure is officially the Sort Of Thing We Could Do With More Of. It's an episodic whodunnit that unfolds on the pages of a housewife's diary, sparked by the discovery of some (apparently) aged journal fragments. There are three chapters (and three puzzles) so far, with new ones being added on a weekly basis.

Even at this early stage in the proceedings, it's looking like a cracking yarn. The narrator - Helen - is having a bit of a midlife crisis, and is all too easily drawn to the whiff of historical enigma.

Cleverly, the game intermingles scraps from her own quotidian life - recipies, notes to self, old personality tests - with those of the unknown journal writer. Psychological shenanigans are definitely afoot.

There's nothing to pay, and nothing to download. All you need is a Facebook account (and a mild tolerance for the English middle class).
