A blow has been struck for the forces of global nerdiness, with Cupid wielding the hammer. German nearly-weds Darina and Niko have opted for a less conventional kind of wedding invite: a miniature 8-bit platformer, complete with its own crystal case and instruction manual.

The wee gem is modelled on classic Mario platformers, as should be screamingly obvious if you're the sort of person who'd consider doing this yourself. There are two versions of the invite - one for the bride, one for the husband. Sob.
