The first thing you'll want to do when playing Coal Runner is hit space bar to skip the silly overblown story intro. If we wanted to see scrolling text, we'd carpet the room with newspaper, lie face-down and ask a friend to drag us slowly from one wall to the other by our hair.

The second thing you'll want to do is take everything you ever knew about coal mines and throw it out the window. Metaphorically speaking. A sense of balance and a little finesse with the old arrow keys will serve you better here than a PhD in Geology.
