Super Energy Apocalypse: Recycled is an ecologically-minded, wave-defence strategy game with more than a passing resemblance to Command & Conquer. Energy shortages and chronic pollution have driven humanity to the brink of extinction, and your embattled group of survivalists must forge a new world from the ashes.
Gameplay is a B-movie-flavoured mixture of top-down zombie splatting and cartoonified green-thinking. Any oil wells, mines and power plants you build in the day generate smog and garbage - milk and honey to the undead hordes that pester your defences during the night.
Send forth garbage trucks and upgrade your resource production facilities to keep pollution levels down.
There's no scarcity of similar games. Here: Shadez 2, When Penguins Attack, Elona Shooter and SPORE Islands. Take your pick.
