If I was trapped in a room with an actual bear, piecing together four-part pictoral codes to unlock mysterious boxes would probably come last on the agenda. But, hey - let's go with the flow.
This particular bear has a golden key round his neck. Acquiring it would be a good move, but you'll have to give the owner something in return. One paw scratches another.

Hmm, not my cup of tea. Just from your description of this game, I don't think I even have the interest to open the game to play. It sounds toooo low tech for a strategy game.
