We love games that don't make sense in a really intelligent way. The Glean of Glob, a 2008 collaboration between artist Daniel Baker and game designer Ricky Haggett, is one such game.
Much as in Deep Chalk, it's all about unearthing the bizarre but consistent chain of logic which holds everything together. Each single screen puzzle folds pleasingly into the next, left to right.
Nice finale, too - I like it when my presumptuous constructivist urges are arbitrarily and absurdly thwarted. Or something like that. Cough.
Alchemia is another recent doozie.
Play The Glean of Glob

Certainly, the artistry and design that went into this game is pretty good but it is not something I would play for no more than once or twice. Maybe kids might find this puzzle game interesting.
