Tower of Heaven isn't quite the assault on your sanity Run!! was, but it's still tough as teak. It also looks rather like a Gameboy game. Our inner retro freak is foaming at the mouth.
The idea is to climb the titular tower, a far from heavenly edifice stocked with spikes, whirring blades and, of course, blocks. The arrow keys move and jump.
The tower's all-knowing, all-seeing owner isn't the hospitable sort: besides hurling insults from the summit, he/she/it will impose a series of punishing restrictions on your activities as you ascend, like a ban on touching the sides of blocks. Breaking these rules will cost you your life.
Your mysterious tormentor is also easily bored. Make sure you finish the level before the time elapses, or it's lightning-bolt-from-the-blue time.
The game's a 7MB download, and well worth a look. There's a saved game feature, for which we're very, very thankful.
