What do you get when you cross bouncy ball physics with platforming? A lot of games actually, Wone 2 and Amberial Axis being high quality examples.

But neither has quite the retro charm or deceptive simplicity of Crimson Momentum. You control a bouncing ball with the arrow keys. Each level has its share of environmental oddities, like pools of water which buoy you up, teleporters, gravity reversing panels and (of course) retracting spikes.

Those levels come in three flavours - Time Trial, which sees you racing the clock to the exit; Scavenge, in which you collect all the gold coins; and Survival, in which you try to stay intact for as long as possible.

Check the length of the ball's vapour trail to gauge your momentum.
