Man, there's nothing I hate more than ambling peacefully into some quaint little village only to discover that it's populated by zombies.
That kind of action makes me nervous. And when I get nervous, I get excited. And when I get excited, I use my inexplicable telekinetic powers to operate a variety of weapons and blow the rotten stuffing out of all and sundry. Um.
Cursed Village is a defence game in which you forcibly liberate a remote township from icky undead hands. Between one area and the next, you can purchase traps, barricades and such death-dealing implements as sickles, fiery crossbows and bazookas with points earned in battle.
Being all psychic and that, your character doesn't actually appear on the battlefield. Instead, he lurks somewhere off-screen while your load-out floats around opening cans of whoop-ass at the behest of the mouse.
Human survivors can also be recruited if you need back-up, or just fancy throwing the zombie hordes a tit-bit.
Days 2 Die and the mighty Plants vs. Zombies have this game bang to rights, but it's a passable diversion.
